Three men; a white man, a black man, and a Mexican, were to be given forty lashes for punishment for a crime they had recently tried to pull. They were each allowed one item to be placed on their back before they were whipped. The black man decided to take nothing, so he was whipped with nothing on his back. The Mexican man said, "Baby oil." So they doused him in baby oil and whipped him. The white man got up and said, "I'll take the Mexican!"
