This joke originates from west Africa where passing gas is commonly known as phat and going to toilet is known as shit. Well, it happened that this young man went to a gathering where there was a young lady who passed gas or phat and it smelled so bad, everyone in the room started to ask, who did that, or who phat? As suspicion was growing around the young woman, the young man put up his finger and said, I did. Everyone told him that was bad and that he should take some laxatives, etc. Anyway, after the gathering, the young lady met the young man and thanked him for saving her the embarrassment of being caught. They eventually fell in love, got married and lived together. After some time, the young woman realized that every time she did her husband's laundry, there was shit or toilet in his under pants.
